Neptune respects your privacy and collects only the data necessary to provide its core functionality.

1. Data Collected

Neptune may collect:

  • Authentication data via Google Sign-In
  • User bookmarks
  • Browsing history (only when the user is logged in)
  • Anonymous and aggregated domain data for the Trending feature

2. How Data Is Used

Data is used to:

  • Sync bookmarks and browsing history across devices
  • Improve user experience
  • Provide aggregated trending insights (without identifying users)

3. Anonymous Data

The Trending feature collects only domain-level data (e.g., youtube.com).

Full URLs, search queries, and personal identifiers are not collected.

4. Data Storage

  • User data (bookmarks and history) is stored securely using Firebase and linked to the user account
  • Users can delete their data directly from the app

5. Data Sharing

Neptune does not sell personal data.

Data is not shared with third parties for advertising purposes.

6. Advertising

The app may display ads.

Ads do not access personal browsing history.

7. Security

We implement reasonable security measures, but no system is completely secure.

8. User Rights

Users can:

  • Access their data
  • Delete browsing history
  • Log out at any time
